Diatomaceous earth (DE) works in deodorants primarily due to its microporous structure, which allows it to absorb moisture and neutralize body odor. It can absorb up to six times its own weight in moisture, helping to keep underarms dry and providing a nude skin sensation.

How it works: Moisture Absorption:DE's highly absorbent nature allows it to effectively soak up perspiration. This helps prevent the wetness that can contribute to odor and discomfort.

Odor Neutralization: Diatomaceous earth contains silica and other minerals that can absorb; and neutralize odor-causing molecules. Some sources also suggest it can help draw out toxins.

Gentle on Skin: It is often preferred in natural deodorants because it's generally considered gentler on sensitive skin compared to some other odor-neutralizing ingredients like baking soda. It's also nearly pH neutral

Body Heat Impact: Applying deodorant directly to your skin and allowing your body heat to come into contact with it can cause it to soften or melt slightly.

Directions: Apply to clean dry armpits after showering or bathing
